Across the Group, we know that great advice starts with great people, and we are delighted to welcome Edward to the team.
Joining us with a passion for helping clients achieve their goals and navigate important financial decisions with confidence, Edward brings a fresh perspective, a commitment to excellent client service, and a genuine enthusiasm for making a positive difference.
We sat down with Edward to learn more about his background, what attracted him to the profession, his interests outside of work, and what he is most looking forward to as he begins his journey with us.
So, let's get to know Edward a little better...
Interview with Edward - Welcome to the Team

Q: What is your role at Penn Financial?
A: Mortgage & Protection Administrator
Q: What do you enjoy most about helping clients?
A: I enjoy the feeling you get when helping clients along the process when buying property. Property purchase is probably one of the most expensive things many of us will ever buy. And it feels especially rewarding, helping the first time buyers who may find the process a little daunting. If I can make the process clearer for the client, it makes me feel proud.
Q: What skills or experience do you bring to the team?
A: I do bring the obvious organisation, communication & efficiency, but what I also bring is empathy and the esperience of having gone through this myself.
Q: What does great client service mean to you?
A: Communication, even if you update a client to say there is no update this week, that too is an update. That often helps them to realise that we are still looking after them, and working, even if it may feel slower during some parts of the process sometimes.
Q: Tell us a little about yourself outside of work. What are your hobbies or interests?
A: Outside of work you will likely find me with my headphones on, practicing my singing. I am a member of the rock choir, I attend rehearsals and performances, and I would love to follow through on my love of music more outside of work.
Q: Who has had the biggest influence on your career?
A: My previous boss, who was very patient with me, and allowed me the space to learn and grow.
Q: Tea or coffee?
A: Tea, I love tea so much so that I have made myself a little tea bar at home.
Q: Early bird or night owl?
A: Early bird. I am definitely not a night owl
Q: Beach holiday or city break?
A: The older I get, the more seem to be enjoying cities. I always enjoy my time in London, but I also enjoy the beach.
Q: One item you couldn't live without?
A: Mobile Phone
Q: If you won the lottery tomorrow, what is the first thing you would do?
A: Buy a house. This way I would not need to worry about rent or mortgage.
Q: In three words, describe your approach to clients.
A: Empathy, Professional, Friendly
Q: Why should clients feel confident working with you?
A: I have their back
Q: Finish this sentence: "At Penn Financial, I want to be known for..."
A: ... pushing mortgage cases over the completion line.
Q: What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
A: Neve Assume anything. It makes an a** out of you and me.
Q: Your Favourite quote?
A: It is the courage to continue that counts.
